Faculty of Science, Kasetsart University Strengthens Global Ties: Hosting Distinguished Professor from KAIST for Academic Collaboration
The Faculty of Science, Kasetsart University, continues to advance its international academic excellence. On January 29, 2026, at Room 306A, the Princess Chulabhorn 60th Birthday Anniversary Science Research Center Building, Faculty of Science, Kasetsart University was honored to host Professor Yong-Hyun Kim from the Department of Physics, South Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Republic of Korea.
The meeting was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Wanchai Pluempanupat, Dean of the Faculty of Science, alongside the faculty’s leadership team, including:
- Associate Professor Dr. Chatchawan Jantasuriyarat, Deputy Dean for Research and International Affairs
- Associate Professor Dr. Adisak Boonchun, Head of the Department of Physics
- Associate Professor Dr. Pakpoom Reunchan, Department of Physics
We were also pleased to welcome Associate Professor Dr. Sirichok Jungthawan from the Department of Physics, Suranaree University of Technology, who participated in this strategic discussion.
The primary objective of this visit was to explore and establish robust academic and research collaborations between our institutions, fostering innovation and knowledge exchange in the field of Physics and beyond. Additionally, the faculty was privileged to have Professor Yong-Hyun Kim deliver a special guest lecture during the morning session, providing invaluable insights to our faculty members and researchers. This collaboration marks another significant milestone for the Faculty of Science, Kasetsart University in enhancing our global footprint and academic standards.

คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ มก. ประสานความร่วมมือระดับสากลกับผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากจาก KAIST เพื่อเสริมสร้างงานวิจัยและวิชาการด้านฟิสิกส์
คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ มุ่งเน้นการสร้างเครือข่ายพันธมิตรทางวิชาการในระดับโลกอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยเมื่อวันที่ 29 มกราคม 2569 ณ ห้องประชุม 306A ชั้น 3 อาคารศูนย์วิจัยวิทยาศาสตร์จุฬาภรณ์ 60 พรรษา คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ได้รับเกียรติจาก Professor Yong-Hyun Kim จากภาควิชาฟิสิกส์ สถาบันวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีขั้นสูงแห่งเกาหลี (KAIST) สาธารณรัฐเกาหลี ในโอกาสเดินทางมาเยือนเพื่อหารือความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ การหารือในครั้งนี้ได้รับเกียรติจาก รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.วันชัย ปลื้มภาณุภัทร คณบดีคณะวิทยาศาสตร์ เป็นประธานในการต้อนรับ พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหารและคณาจารย์ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ ประกอบด้วย:
- รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ชัชวาล จันทราสุริยารัตน์ รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิจัยและวิเทศสัมพันธ์
- รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.อดิศักดิ์ บุญชื่น หัวหน้าภาควิชาฟิสิกส
- รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ภาคภูมิ เรือนจันทร์ จากภาควิชาฟิสิกส์
นอกจากนี้ ยังได้รับเกียรติจาก รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สิริโชค จึงถาวรรณ จากภาควิชาฟิสิกส์ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารี เข้าร่วมการหารือเพื่อบูรณาการความร่วมมือระหว่างสถาบันในประเทศไทยและต่างประเทศ
นอกจากการหารือทิศทางความร่วมมือแล้ว Professor Yong-Hyun Kim ยังได้ให้เกียรติบรรยายพิเศษ (Special Guest Lecture) ในช่วงเช้า เพื่อถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้และประสบการณ์ด้านงานวิจัยระดับสูงให้แก่บุคลากรและนิสิต ซึ่งบรรยากาศการประชุมและการบรรยายเป็นไปอย่างราบรื่น นำมาซึ่งแนวทางที่เป็นรูปธรรมในการสร้างความร่วมมือด้านการแลกเปลี่ยนนิสิต การวิจัยร่วม และการพัฒนาองค์ความรู้ทางวิทยาศาสตร์ในระดับสากลต่อไป
